Follow your scent-ces and check out Yankee Candles fun and fragrant CandlePower Pop-Up in SoHo. Thanks to the absolutely wonderful museumiadventure and her fun finds, I decided to pop in. Running from November 9th until January 3rd, the multisensory experience is made up of several interactive installations. Fortunately, this pop up doesn’t have a line out the door and is also free! As you selfie your way through, you will be guided by the the many wonderful scents paired with each photo op.
Upon entering, a delightful wooden winter wonderland is your first stop. The aroma of pine, cedar wood, and vanilla from the Balsam and Cedar candle guide you through the wooden evergreen forest. You just might get the perfect picture for your Christmas cards.
Get a little sun and sand at your next stop. The tropical breeze of citrus and lavender will take you exactly where you want to be in the middle of winter – pool side with the sun shining down on you as the palm trees sway. 
Reminiscent of the film American Beauty, lie down in a bed of roses for the next photo op. My absolute favorite installation in the pop up, you can’t help but feel like you are a work of art as your photo is taken from the reflection above you. The sweet smell of gardenias, apricot, and nectarines from the sun-drenched Apricot Rose candle will immerse you into this garden of oversized roses.
Defy gravity and hang off the ceiling lamp in the sideways living room. I chose to use to my inner witch powers to read a book while sitting on the ceiling, couches are so last year. Make believe the warm and musk smell of the fireside candle is coming from the fireplace in your sideways living room! The candle in this room was my favorite because if you listen carefully it actually crackles likes a fireplace.
Enter the hall of relaxation where Chesapeake Bay’s Mind & Body Candle collection are burning to create a soothing and calming atmosphere. A large screen covers the walls and you can select the background based on your choice scent. Depending on what you’re striving for you can choose scents that help empower you such as reflection & clarity, peace & tranquility, and balance & harmony.
Last but not least, don’t forget to check out all the limited edition scents for sale from Yankee Candle, Chesapeake Bay, and WoodWick. Whether you prefer a scent that will transport you to a tropical beach or one that smells like sugar cookies baking on a Christmas day, they got you covered.
